I amrebuilding my E III, all is good except I am having difficulty figuring out the the damping material placement for these speakers. Behind the woofer there was some poly material just suspended within the enclosure directly behind the woofer, no padding on sides of enclosure. I would like to understand better the material and proper placement of the material.
My concern is that when I purchased these speakers new many years ago, I believe these were new E IIs converted into EIIIs by the factory and possibly short cuts were taken. These are a ported design speaker.
