  1. In Italy, photos of a pair of Ar6s with narrow front edges and labels indicating production made in the USA have been published. This is the first time I've seen an Ar6 with US-made narrow front edges, I have a doubt that the labels have been reprinted and are not original, I think actually those Ar6s were made in EU. Can anyone in the group clarify for me? Ar6 with the thin edge were also built in the US?
  2. Hi AR55, but these 20001311 are following 77/78
  3. Was the tweeter of the Ar3a, Ar3a Improved Ar 200013-1 ever made with fluid iron in the air gap?
  4. The drivers as has already been said are all original Ar, changing them with others, Dayton or any other, makes no sense. The 8" foams can also be found in Italy.
  5. I would not change the dust covers, especially the creamy white oneswhich, if I am not mistaken, have a calibrated weight to achieve the desired resonance frequency.
  6. How many grams of polyester acoustic absorber are in the volume of the Ar9 woofers? Does anyone know? are there any engineering papers that report this? thanks
  8. Traduzione I didn't know there was an account capacity limit. How do I delete that video file? I don't even remember what it is. Thank you, you have been very kind
  9. I have doubts that Cello,/Levinson modified these Ar LSTs for the following reasons: 1) I do not recall Cello ever using externally wired midrange drivers and tweeters. 2) Cello used in the Amati, TNG/Ar tweeters with paper dome and fabric suspension, these pictured are the classic Ar with three-point suspension. 3) The label has a serial number that refers to early Ar LST productions and describes the six-position selector switch that is not present in these LSTs. 4) There is no plate or label indicating any Cello/ Levinson work on these speakers.
  10. I can't send decent photos because the site only accepts photos of ridiculous size 10kb, why is this happening,??? back in the day this problem didn't exist, you could send heavier photos, now you can't sin.
  11. A friend bought a pair of Ar LSTs (whose photos I enclose), the seller states that they were modified by CELLO/Levinson to turn them into CELLO AMATI. I find this strange, however I ask for any clarification from the experts in the group, thank you
  12. I feel the same way, the Tonegen woofer, in my opinion has a bass timbre, slightly different from the Ar woofer (which I prefer), listening to acoustic bass tracks from Telarc CDs, the difference, though small, is noticeable. I compared them on two pairs of AR3a, one pair with Ar woofers and the other with Tonegen woofers.
  13. Thank you Tom, many compliments, wonderful article, thank you again.
  14. The 'dent in the tweeter is easily solved by gently vacuuming with a soft rubber tube resting on the dome.
  15. In my opinion Giorgio Ar is right the woofers are TNGs. They may also be Ar 200003-1
  16. Maintenance, recap, verification, measurement and listening
