Ok, many thanks for your responses. Now I'm more confused (which is easy to do); "white van" referring to a 'knock-off' version of the real article? As you can probably tell, I'm not an audiophile. Appreciate your help.

Unpacked pair of AR's after 25+ years. Labels on back indicate they are AR 20's but the only reference I can find pertains to the Acoustic Research Connoisseur AR 20 Series but that series is two way while mine are (obviously) 3 way with 12"/6"/3" speakers with cabinets 24"h x 14"w x 12"d. I've searched the AR website data base with no luck. No prizes available except an 'atta-boy' or 'atta-girl' - - - - you pick. Many thanks for reading. Kent
