I think you're OK with felt... some places only have certain sizes. So screen or felt works OK....

Here's one unit..... DavidR lives down the street.. (who woulda thought!) and gave me some 4's and 25's so I'll swap out the double up 2's and 12's later.... I have to say I am very pleased with the difference... So is the neighbors.... apartment living has its down side.... Thanks again everyone!!

existing caps state.... 100 uf / this cap gave a reading of nil. 00.00 40 uf / 52.45uf 24uf / 32.33uf 8uf / 9.12uf 4uf / 7.67uf so this is where one speaker is at..... not for long...

Passionate...... we'll call it passionate..... I get it!! I did the caps on a pair of JBL CF150's and it was like new speakers... I have done early B and W and seen no difference, I've done some Marantz Imperial 6's and huge change... I swear it is all hit and miss as far as a change.... But it does help to do the best you can... then you can go onto other shit as the reasons for shitty sound.... LOL thanks, Darren

Money money money....... so best budget purchase is.... still $140 for both 2 of 2' uf Dayton for the 4 2 of 12uf Dayton for 24 1 Dayton 7.5uf and 1 Dayton .48 uf for the 8 1 Dayton 40uf for 40 and 1 Audyn 100 uf for 100 That was the most I wanted to spend... close to $400 investment so far... woofers were $170 for the pair.... 200003 very nice surrounds all done by seller

Found an orphan pair for cheap money. As usual the owner replaced the woofers with some aftermarket JL audio woofers. At least they got the Ohm correct. I found a pair of correct woofers. Question, would you replace the caps on principal? What an ugly crossover! LOL Darren
