  1. Contact Ohm. They are still in business and provide drivers for their vintage speaker systems. Legacy Products | Ohm Speakers | Custom Audiophile Speakers for Music & Home Theater
  2. Forgot, here are the front grills: https://www.etsy.com/shop/AllisonSpeakerParts?ref=l2-about-shopname
  3. Here you go for the grills: https://www.etsy.com/listing/106891119/allison-speaker-8-woofer-grill-for?ga_order=most_relevant&ga_search_type=all&ga_view_type=gallery&ga_search_query=allison&ref=sr_gallery-1-8&organic_search_click=1&col=1 As to the woofers, are they in that bad a shape or is it just the surrounds? Where are you located. There's someone in NJ who replaces surrounds as well as PA. If you're handy, you can replace them yourself.
  4. From the Allison Yahoo group: We have a tech outside Boston who has successfully restored tweeters whose only fault was their wiring. The cost if he is successful is $35 ea + return s/h. To get them to him, pack them v v v v carefully (cardboard cutout collars, lots bubblewrap etc) and pack and ship to Mark Chambers 141 River Rd Pepperell MA 01463-1625
  5. Bill, Going to have to disagree with you. There was a discussion in the Allison Group that Allison did in fact make speakers for auto sound. Check the link and look at the first picture. https://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-Original-Allison-Acoustics-2-WAY-CONVEX-DIAPHRAGM-TWEETER-ACD-2-NOS/173020890011 Brian
  6. There's a pair of F-1s on eBay as I write this that look in good shape. Seller is asking $299 I believe. (I am not the seller nor have any relationship to the seller)
  7. There is a speaker identified as a Rectilinear s38 on NY CL. At least that is what is on the card stapled to the back of the speakers. It looks authentic. Anybody know or have an opinion about these speakers?
  8. Try the Allison group on Yahoo. They do post schematics. Not sure if they have RDL.
  9. Robert: Try the following: https://cmtechsupport.com/products/ http://www.abtechservices.com/ They may be able to assist you. Brian
  10. I know this a little late to the party but here's a link to a website that has replacement parts for AR and Advent, including tweeters. https://cmtechsupport.com/products/ Brian

    Avid Model 110

Picking up on this old thread because I've been researching the Avid 110, as I found a pair on CL. SR reviewed these speakers in 1980: https://www.americanradiohistory.com/hd2/IDX-Audio/Archive-Stereo-Review-IDX/IDX/80s/HiFI-Stereo-Review-1980-12-OCR-Page-0036.pdf#search="avid 110%22 https://www.americanradiohistory.com/hd2/IDX-Audio/Archive-Stereo-Review-IDX/IDX/80s/HiFI-Stereo-Review-1980-12-OCR-Page-0038.pdf#search="avid 110%22 The review is two pages. Each link is a separate page of the review. Brian
