Carlspeak
FYI, all LA owners:Currently working on a large advent Ser.#A489986. Stamped inside is "ADRIAN CABINETS". I did a search and found what appears to be the same company which may still be in business. The name is now:ADRIAN CABINET ARTS477 ELM ST.WEST HAVEN, CT 06516-4268203-937-8008They now appear to specialize in stereo equipment cabinetry. Here is a link to one of their web site pages that indulges in their history. It appears Advent did indeed use them at least for some of their speaker cabinets.http://htavfurniture.com/adrianstory.aspxIt's all about the musicCarlCarl's Custom Loudspeakers
Pete B
Hi Carl,Thanks for sharing this find. I take it those are real wood cabinets with the A prefixed serial number? So, if they were willing to make the boxes again, and with the ABTech woofers:http://www.abtechservices.com/images/lgadventwoofer.jpgAll that's needed is a good tweeter to clone the LA.Wonder what a small run of those cabinets would cost today. Give them a call. The ones I have are real wood but very banged up. It looks like the designers of that era had become knowledgeable about and did something to address diffraction. These have generously radiused corners that will be difficult to sand down. It's all about the musicCarlCarl's Custom Loudspeakers

Pete B
I emailed ADRIAN CABINETS to see if they had any interest in small production runs of the classic Advent enclosure, no reply so far.
