To the best of my knowledge, the AR-7x only had foam grilles, with beveled edges, just like the AR-18 (except they covered the entire front inset). I could, of course, be mistaken.The picture below, to my eyes, would indicate that the grilles are replacements: just pieces of black cloth.AR-7x (Grilles pictured are not orignal)In your picture, it appears there is some kind of support frame, but that aspect does not indicate authenticity (if indeed such things matter to you, given that it's primarily an aesthetic consideration).AL79's AR-7xRobert_S Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
